Current Affairs Compendium 2026

Eleven sections, polity to Delhi's Directorate of Education. ★ marks a high-probability row, ⚠ marks a fact no primary source confirmed, and Section J lists every one of them to check before the exam.

13 sections · 998 ★ volatile facts · English and Hindi

Before you read a single fact

This file replaces your two earlier notes. Everything in them was re-checked against a primary source — PIB, the Ministry's own site, indiacode, the Gazette, the ECI, RBI, ISRO, UNFCCC, WTO, the official Nobel and Commonwealth Sport pages. Nothing was carried over on trust.

That check found 64 errors in your old notes. Nine of them would have cost you marks on the most likely questions in the paper. They are listed in the next section. Read that table before anything else — unlearning a wrong fact is harder than learning a new one.

The two marks in this file

Mark Meaning
★ High-probability. A "first", a superlative, a headline number, a who-heads-what, anything with a host city or a date. If you are short of time, learn only the ★ rows.
⚠ Could not be verified against a primary source. The fact is probably right — it is in your notes or in reputable reporting — but no official page confirmed it. Do not stake an answer on a ⚠ fact where the marking is negative. Section J lists every one of them.

How this paper actually works

120 questions, 300 marks, 2 hours, −1/3 negative marking. Break-even accuracy is exactly 25%, so a blind four-option guess is EV-neutral. Attempt when you can eliminate two options; otherwise leave it blank. In the measured December 2022 paper, GK/polity/current affairs drew 9 of 120 questions and the education-policy block another 20 — so Sections G, H and I below are worth roughly twice what Sections A–F are worth. Weight your revision accordingly.

Every table row here is written to be answerable as a one-mark question. Learn the tables, not the paragraphs.
