Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Principal Sarathi Android app collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: your studying stays on your phone, and the only thing our server knows about you is which email has paid and until when.
What stays on your device and never reaches us
- Every answer you select, and which questions you have attempted.
- Your scores, accuracy and attempt history.
- Which sections you have read and your revision passes.
- The name you type on the welcome screen.
This is stored in the app's own storage on your phone. We cannot read it, and it is removed when you uninstall the app. Nothing about your study performance is transmitted anywhere.
What we do collect
- Your Google account email address and display name
- Received when you choose to sign in with Google, so that access you paid for follows your account rather than a single handset. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, files, or anything else from your Google account.
- A random device identifier
- Generated by the app itself — not a hardware serial, not an advertising ID — so that one paid plan cannot be shared without limit. It identifies an installation, not a person.
- Payment reference details
- A payment identifier, the amount, and the date, so we can confirm a purchase and handle refunds or disputes. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, bank credentials or CVV — those go directly to Razorpay.
- Coupon redemptions
- Which code was redeemed by which account, and when.
What we never do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs, no behavioural profiling.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data for marketing, by anyone.
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts or file access. The app requests only internet permission, and only to check your plan.
Who processes data on our behalf

How long we keep it
Your plan record is kept while the plan is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can answer questions about a past purchase and meet tax and accounting obligations. Payment references are retained as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- Sign out in the app at any time; the cached plan is cleared from the device.
- Ask for deletion of your plan record by emailing us. Note that deleting it also removes the record of your purchase, so any remaining paid access ends with it.
- Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you.
Children
The app is intended for serving teachers preparing for a promotional examination. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Payment webhooks are verified by signature so that plan changes cannot be forged. Access to the plan store is limited to the proprietor.
