NCF-FS 2022 — National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage
The framework for ages 3–8, read from the document: the 13 Curricular Goals, three kinds of play, the home-language rule, Panchaadi and ELPS, no textbooks before 6, no tests, the A–E × I–IV progress card, and the minutes a day.
WHY THIS NOTE EXISTS
Both 2022 papers asked about early childhood through NEP 2020 — six items across them, 15 marks — but both were set before this framework existed (the Principal paper on 17 July 2022, the Vice Principal paper on 11 December 2022, the framework dated 20 October 2022). The 2026 paper is the first one that can ask the framework itself.
| 2022 item | What it tested |
|---|---|
| pyq2022-q066 | The NEP year for universal foundational literacy and numeracy |
| pyq2022-q068 · pyq2022p-q085 | Which ministries plan and implement the ECCE curriculum |
| pyq2022p-q084 | Which agency develops the ECCE curricular and pedagogical framework |
| pyq2022p-q086 | What the first five years of 5+3+3+4 consist of |
| pyq2022p-q087 | Whether the State School Standards Authority covers pre-school |
The lesson for your study time: the paper asks this area as structure and numbers — ages, years, stages, counts of goals, minutes a day. Parts 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11 below carry most of what can be asked.
