Delete your account & data
Last updated 22 August 2026
You can have your Principal Sarathi account and the data held against it deleted at any time. There is no form to fill in and no reason to give.
How to ask
Email principalsarthi@gmail.com from the Google address you signed in with, with the words delete my account. Sending it from that address is how we know the request is yours — we will not delete an account on the word of a different address.
From inside the Android app you can do the same in two taps: Progress tab → Delete account. That opens your mail app with the message already written.
We reply to confirm, and the deletion is done within 7 working days of that confirmation.
What is deleted
Everything we hold that identifies you. Concretely, the whole account record:
- Your email address and the name Google gave us when you signed in.
- Your plan — whether it is active, and the date it runs to.
- The device identifiers for the phones and browsers the account has been used on. These are random numbers our app generates, not anything Android or your handset provides.
- The payment references stored on your record, which link your account to a Razorpay transaction.
Once that record is gone we hold nothing that connects you to this service.
What deleting it costs you
Your plan is the record. Deleting it ends any paid access you have left, and we cannot restore it afterwards — there is nothing left to restore it from. If you have months remaining and simply want to stop using the app, signing out is enough; you do not have to delete anything.
Your study progress is not ours to delete
Every answer you have attempted, every revision-sheet pass and every chapter you have read is stored on your own device and is never sent to us. We could not delete it if we wanted to, and it does not go anywhere when your account does. To clear it:
- Android app — uninstall it, or Settings → Apps → Principal Sarathi → Storage → Clear data.
- Website — sign out, then clear this site's data in your browser settings.
What is kept, and why
Two things survive the deletion of your account, and both are outside our control:
- Razorpay's own transaction records. If you paid, our payment provider holds that transaction under its own policy. Ask them directly, or ask us and we will point you at the right place.
- Accounting records of the sale itself. Indian tax law requires a business to keep records of what it sold and when. Where we must keep such a record, it is kept for the period the law requires and used for nothing else.
Neither is used to identify you as a user, to contact you, or to restore your access.

A person answers this address — the one who wrote the chapters. If a deletion request goes unanswered for more than a few days, write again; it means the mail did not arrive.
